Vitamin C – Familiar but Still Very Important

admin | December 1st, 2011 - 10:39 pm

Everybody has heard of vitamin C also known asascorbic acid (AA) and dehydroascorbic DHAA in its oxidized form. Basically, vitamin C is pretty much a generic name for all compounds that have the same biologic activity as Ascorbic acid . It’s importance was originally recognized in 1747 when James Lind found that men could be cured of scurvy if provided oranges and lemons. It was a lifesaving breakthrough for sailors and the phrase Limey’s was easily adopted referring to the sailors in His Majesty’s Royal Navy.

Vitamin C is the most crucial and available water soluable antioxidant within the human body . Its water solubility means that it can scavenge free radicals before they reach the cellular shell. The relationship between Ascorbic Acid and glutathione- the body’s master antioxidant is unique. Vitamin C reduces glutathione back to the active form. Once reduced, glutathione will revitalize vitamin C from its DHAA or oxidized state. This why Vitamin C is an ingredient in Cellgevity Vitamin C is essential for the manufacturing of collagen. It is also needed in the development of norepinephrine and serotonin. Ascorbic Acid may also have some anticlotting and blood flow advancement attributes by stimulating the release within the body of Nitric Oxide, and that’s why Vitamin C is also a key ingredient in the supplement Pro-Argi9-Plus

Vitamin C is held in both the tissues and blood in our bodies. The adrenal and pituitary glands, and lens of the eye comprise the highest concentrations of vitamin C within the body. It is one of the 13 essential vitamins. Despite the fact that the phrase “Essential” is often mis-used. What it really means is that an essential vitamin is one that must be provided by our food since we are not able to manufacture it within the body.

A-Lipoic Acid (AHA) antioxidant support for your health

admin | October 31st, 2011 - 8:48 pm

Like glutatione alpha lipoic acid (ALA)is to be found in every cell in your body. It’s an antioxidant that helps your cells convert glucose into energy. ALA works – is soluable, in both water and fat so it can work anywhere in your body unlike antioxidants like Vitamin C or vitamin E which only work in water and fat respectively. Like other antioxidants, ALA helps clean free radicals – your body’s metabolic trash – from the cells which prevents them from becoming cluttered and toxic from a build up of waste. Alpha lipoic Acid has the ability to help to regenerate other antioxidants once they have collected the stray electrons and through the regeneration process renders them able to continue to neutralize more free radicals. this ability to regenerate other antioxidants, while not completely unique, it extremely valuable.

ALA is also used as an abbreviation for Alpha Linolenic Acid which is an omega-3 fatty acid, connected with heart health, but this is a different substance from Alpha lipoic acid – also referred to as Lipoic Acid.

Several studies have indicated that ALA may be able to help reduce levels of blood sugar and combined with it’s antioxidant properties, ALA might be helpful to people suffering from diabetic peripheral neuropathy, relieving some of the discomfort caused by nerve damage.

Researchers are studying alpha lipoic acid to determine its effectiveness against glaucoma although the are yet to collect sufficient data, but because it can pass easilt to the brain, it is possible that ALA might be useful as a protector against brain and nerve tissue damage. it is currently being studied as a possible treatment for stroke and other brain problems with root causes based on free radical damage. Dementia is one such condition.

ALA is one of the ingredients in MaxGXL and it’s also one of the ingredients in Max International’s newest glutathione support product – Cellgevity. It works with your body’s glutathione and as a powerful antioxidant, fights the root causes of premature aging.

Acai in AIO Premium Cellular Health

admin | September 13th, 2011 - 6:34 pm

I’ve been reviewing the different antioxidant rich foods in AIO premium cellular health and was looking at some information about Acai.

Acai is the Portuguese word for a type of palm tree that is found in Central and South America. It usually grows in Peru and Brazil, in wet areas and floodplains. Scientifically it is names Euterpe oleracea. The Portuguese name means a plant that cries or expels water. REcently, the plant has become quite well known, particularly for its fruit; which is small, round and purple-black in color. The acai fruit is used by natives in the Brazilian Amazon as food. It is also served as a beverage.

Around the world, interest in acai has been driven by of its nutritional content, antioxidant properties and also its use as a weight loss option. The nutritional content of the fruit is based on proteins, carbohydrates, fat, dietary fiber, vitamins and low sugar value. It is frequently marketed as a dietary supplement, with celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Dr. Oz promoting it.

Acai is believed to have antioxidant qualities. Some studies have demonstrated it has polyphenol and antioxidant anthocyanins, vitamins, amino acids, enzymes, phytochemicals and minerals. The antioxidants are considered to have disease-prevention abilities, thus supporting the immune system of individuals who use acai. It has flavanoids that are responsible for combatting conditions like heart diseases. Extracts of acai are found to have an effect against peroxyl, peroxynitrite and hydroxyl radicals. Scientists have shown a link between free radical damage and chronic diseases such as cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, cataracts and Alzheimer’s disease.
The dense nutritional value of the fruit is also shown to suppress appetites, hence the use as a weight loss option. It improves the libido, reduces inflammation and has been shown to boost stamina and energy as well as delay aging.
Altogether, Acai berry is an antioxidant rich food that supports good health.

Hardening of the Arteries and ProArgi 9 Plus

admin | August 22nd, 2011 - 6:47 pm

PDiscovering the medical significance of Nitric Oxide (NO) as a signalling molecule for the cardiovascular system earned Robert F. Furchgott, Louis J. Ignarro and Ferid Murad the 1998 Nobel Prize in Medicine.

A signaling molecule is a chemical involved in transmitting information between cells. They are released from the cell sending the signal, cross over the gap between cells, and interact with receptors in another cell, triggering a response in that cell.

The responses that the Nitric Oxide molecule triggers in the cardio vascular system are the stuff of medical miracles for people risking heart attacks caused by the conditions known as hardening of the arteries or coronary artery disease and more accurately referred to as atherosclerosis.

Nitric Oxide relaxes the blood vessels, increasing their elasticity over time, improving or increasing the blood flow and – critically – even dissolving cholesterol plaque, which if ruptured can trigger a heart attack or even a stroke.

A new product has been brought to my attention, of great interest to anyone suffering any of these conditions or suffering from Erectile Dysfunction, which is apparently an early marker for heart problems. Actually, since the build of of cholesterol plaque in the arteries can happen to anyone at virtually anytime, I think this product should be of interest to everyone. It’s called ProArgi-9Plus and it includes 5grams of pharmaceutical grade L-Arginine, L-citrulline and a potent blend of folate and antioxidants.

L-Arginine is converted by the body into Nitric Oxide and L-Citrulline is converted in L-Arginine which in turns converts into Nitric Oxide – a potent One-Two.
I’ll write more about the health benefits of L-arginine and Nitric Oxide in the future, but for now, you can click here ProArgi 9 Plus for information on buying this awesome new product.

Your Heart Deserves Your Care

admin | March 7th, 2011 - 3:47 pm

If you want to be amazed with a wonderous design, look no further than the human heart. Even before you were born, it’s muscles are hard at work, circulating oxygen rich blood to every corner of your body and returning oxygen depleted blood to the lungs to be renewed. The average heart beats 37,869,120 times each year, year after year. That’s over two and a half billion heartbeats in a lifetime.

If you’ve ever wondered just how much bood your heart will pump in
your life, consider that you’d have to turn your kitchen tap on full blast and leave it running for 45 years. It would fill 200 railroad tanker cars. How hard does your heart work to pump blood? Pick up a tennis ball and give it a tight squeeze, that is how hard your heart needs to work with every beat. I don’t think that the most brilliant human engineer has ever designed anything that comes close to the marvel that is your heart.

Unquestionably, your heart is a powerhouse and it’s worth protecting because you can’t live without a beating heart. Did you know that with an average of one person dying every 34 seconds, 40% of all the deaths in the United States are the result of heart disease? The leading cause of heart disease is Coronary Artery Disease (CAD).

Because it’s the hardest working muscle in the body, the heart also needs to produce a lot of energy. It’s this high level of energy production that makes your heart vulnerable to the attack of free radicals. Being vlunerable to free radical damage, the heart therefore has a high demand for antioxidants, the most important of which is Glutathione – Your Body’s Master Antioxidant.

Your Heart’s Energy Engines
Your heart’s incredible energy output is produced within each cell in cellular power plants called Mitochondria. Every cell in your body has these designated energy producing sites. The average cell in an average organ has a few hundred mitochondria, but the cells that make up the endlessly toiling muscles of your heart are estimated to have up to 5,000! Cellular energy comes in the form of a substance called ATP which stands for adenosine triphosphate.

The complicated chemical processes within your cells that support the mitochondria to produce energy from nutrients have some unfortunate by- products. I guess its not all that different from any form of production that creates something from raw materials- there is always a waste product. But in the case of cellular energy production the by-products have a damaging effect.

The by- products are free radicals – damaged oxygen molecules that were not completely and cleanly metabolized in energy production process. With the high concentration of energy producing mitochondria in the heart, there is an equally high concentration of free radicals. Without the intervention of antioxidant activity, free radicals create a chain reaction within the cells that can damage them and their components – including the cellular DNA. Accumulated damage can lead to a host of what are usually thought of as the chronic diseases of aging.

CAD and Heart Disease
Arteriosclerosis – Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) which is generally referred to as a hardening of the arteries or loss of arterial elasticity and is one of the leading causes of Heart disease, has been linked to a substance called lipid peroxidase. This is what happens when the lipids in your heart become free radicals. Lipids, by the way are a large group of molecules which include waxes, sterols, fats and the fat soluble vitamins A, D, E & K. As well as having high levels of free radicals, patients with CAD have also been found with reduced levels of antioxidants like Glutathione.

Without an adequate supply of antioxidants to scavenge free radicals in the heart, this organ and the arteries in the system will be subjected to a condition known as oxidative stress.

While our bodies have originally been designed to clean up the free radicals created by normal processes, most of us are now dealing with extra stresses that were not part of the original plan. These stresses include environmental poisons (and especially cigarette smoke!), nutritionally inadequate diets, the pressures and emotional stress of everyday living and poor conditioning of the muscles from a lack of exercise. These added pressures of living place our antioxidant reserves at a distinct disadvantage.

The Benefits of Boosting our Glutathione and Antioxidant Reserves
As we get older our systems naturally begin to slow down. The mitochondria in our heart muscles are gradually producing less energy and our glutathione production is falling. It drops off by about 10% for every decade past our twenties.

Glutathione is vital for a healthy heart. Boosting glutathione levels will not make you live forever, but given how hard your heart is working for you, it only makes sense to improve your diet, live a healthier lifestyle and take concrete steps to increase the natural production of glutathione.

The free radical theory of aging explains many of the ways our various organ systems are degraded over time by oxidative stress and demonstrates very clearly that boosting antioxidant levels can help to increase our absolute life span and certainly improve the quality of our life and health as senior citizens.

All About Antioxidants and Your Brain

admin | February 27th, 2011 - 10:29 pm

From your first breath to your last and for each microsecond in between , there are battles raging in each cell in you . There are literally millions of these battles going on simultaneously and they involve oxyradicals on one hand and antioxidants on the other . They affect how long you live , your vulnerability to many different medical conditions and without question the quality of your vitality as a senior citizen .

Your brain is highly vulnerable to damage from free radicals because although it only represents 2% of your body mass , about 20% of your oxygen is metabolized in your brain. Free or Oxy-radicals – electron challenged oxygen molecules are created by by a variety of things , but one source is a natural and unavoidable by-product of oxygen metabolization . Since twenty percent of your oxygen intake is used by your brain, it stands to reason that the cells in your brain will be subjected to many free radicals.

Within your brain is a large concentration of naturally occurring molecules called Lipids. Lipids include sterols, waxes, fats and a seletion of fat soluble vitamins like E, A, D and K. Lipids store energy, they are signaling molecules and thy’re structural components of your cell membranes. Lipid peroxidation is the name for free radical damage to Lipids and a reason for the importance of antioxidant supplements .

Your defense against Lipid peroxidation within your brain is from antioxidants and at best from a group referred to as the antioxidant network or network antioxidants , made up of Vitamins C, E, CoEnzymeQ10, Glutathione and Lipolic acid . Network Antioxidants help each other to clear out free radicals from you brain and are also uniquely capable of repairing each other . Among the Network Antioxidants, the most important is Glutathione laso known as The Master Antioxidant. It is naturally manufactured in your body and are present in each and every cell.

Sadly , your brain maintains lower levels of Glutathione than do other organs and with aging , the average supply is further depleted since our ability to make Glutathione declines by around ten percent for each decade past our twenties . But the brain needs Glutathione to stay healthy. Look at the part that Antioxidants play in connection with Alzheimer’s Disease – or senile dementia.

There is a strong link between aluminum and Alzheimer’s disease . In an August 2009 study conducted on rats , two equal groups were deliberately given aluminum toxins, but one of those groups was also supplemented with antioxidant oxyradicals scavengers. The first group had a significant increase in lipid peroxidation and a condition known as oxidative stress – that’s the result of unchecked free radical damage. Reduced Glutathione and other network antioxidants were also noted . For the rats that were provided with the toxins along with the free radical scavengers, none of these changes were measured .

With it’s vulnerability to the formation of free radicals an abundant supply of antioxidants ( especially Network Antioxidants and most importantly , Glutathione) is key to sustaining a healthy and functioning brain. While oral glutathione supplements are not considered to be effective, you can take a glutathione precursor like Max One .

Inflammation is a Pain

admin | August 4th, 2010 - 9:49 pm

Inflammation is what happens when the body’s immune systems protect us from infection and foreign substances like toxins, bacteria and viruses. But, in auto immune diseases, the defense system inappropriately sets off an inflammatory response when there are no foreign substances to fight off and causes damage to itself.
Your immune system assaults normal tissues as if they are infected or contaminated. When inflammation happens, chemicals from your white blood cells are released into the blood and/or affected tissues for the purpose of ridding the body of alien toxins. This release of chemicals adds to the flow of blood to the close-by area and may result in heat, swelling and redness. Also, the inflammatory process may stimulate nerves and result in significant pain.

Arthritis is a general term that describes inflammation in joints. Some, but not all types of arthritis are the fallout from misdirected inflammation. Some types of inflammatory arthritis include:rheumatoid arthritis, bursitis, tendinitis and Gout .

While not all need to be present , the basic symptoms of inflammation are redness, a swollen joint that is warm to the touch, pain and stiffness in the joint and a loss of joint function. Also, inflammation might as well be associated with general “flu-like” symptoms like – feeling chilled or feverishness tiredsness and a loss of energy, headaches, stiff muscles and a loss of appetite.

While the original pain caused by inflammation can seem bad enough, the added cells and it can get much worse – in the long term wearing down of cartilage (cushions at the end of bones) and joint lining. Inflammation can also be a problem for organs. The type of symptoms depends on which organs are inflamed .

* An inflamed heart (myocarditis) may result in shortness of breath or leg swelling
* Inflammation of the narrow tubes that bring air to the lungs may set off an asthma episode
* Inflamed Kidneys (nephritis) may lead to high blood pressure or kidney failure
* Inflammation of the large intestine (colitis) might lead to cramps and diarrhea.

Pain may not be a primary symptom of the inflammatory disease, since many organs do not have a lot of pain-sensitive nerves.

There are several treatment alternatives for inflammatory diseases, but as a rule, the medical community will rely on prescription anti-inflammatories, pain medication, rest, exercise and surgery to correct joint damage.

The goals of treatment are to:

* Avoid or modify activities that aggravate pain
* Relieve pain with analgesics (pain-relieving medications ) and anti-inflammatory medications
* Maintain joint movement and muscle strength through physical therapy
* Decrease stress on the joints by using braces, splints or canes as necessary

What’s absent are any preventative steps or treatment courses designed to basically help your body by increasing your antioxidant levels , making dietary improvements , reducing stress in your life and neutralizing everyday toxins – because they truly are everywhere. Antioxidants will help your body to fight toxins and inflammation. Importantly, when you increase your glutathione – the master antioxidant (which your body actually makes itself), you will fight inflammation from free radical damage in every organ of your body.

Anti-Aging Studies on Resveratrol

admin | August 3rd, 2010 - 4:07 pm

Trans Resveratrol is a naturally occurring antioxidant found in peanuts and grapes . It is present in in the roots, seeds and vines of grapes , but mostly occurs in grape skins. The presence of resveratrol is much higher in red wine than white wine due to the varieties of grape they’re made from and the ways they are made . For red wine, the skin and the seeds are involved in the process and the beneficial polyphenols are included in the wine.

An article published in a 2006 issue of Nature looked at the effectiveness of resveratrol for stretching the life-span and reversing the problems caused by obesity. Laboratory mice were divided into 3 cluster . The first group was given a high-calorie diet in which 60% of the calories were from fat . In addition , the mice were given trans resveratrol. The second cluster received the same high fat diet, but received no resveratrol. The third group received a basic , calorie-reduced diet. When the results were reviewed for the both high-calorie groups , they observed that resveratrol reduced the death rate by one third and impacted fat- related problems from Edit this text heart disease and diabetes. The resveratrol group had similar health metrics as the calorie-reduced group .

In a paper released in a 2006 issue of Current Biology, scientists measured the impact effect resveratrol could exert on stretching the lifespan of short-lived fish. At one month old , they were divided into four clusters . The control cluster got a standard food diet. The remaining groups of fish were fed food that included a resveratrol supplement in three different concentrations ranging from twenty four – six hundred micrograms/gram .

Fish in the control group and the lowest resveratrol cluster enjoyed a survival rate that matched the expected lifespan of the species . Fish receiving the next higher amount of trans resveratrol had a median life expectancy that was 30 percent longer than normal . Fish in the third resveratrol cluster (600 micrograms/gram of food) survived 59% longer. Scientists observed that the subject fish in the high dose cluster were breeding at age twelve weeks while all the fish in the control group were already dead . In addition , researchers tested all fish during the study and discovered that the subjects receiving the resveratrol demonstrated good retention of learning skills and a decease in age-related brain deterioration. They concluded that resveratrol significantly extended the life of these short -lived fish and delayed the start of age-related memory difficulties .

Updated production procedures have made it easier to concentrate the beneficial ingredients from grape skins and a wealth of other plants so they can aid pursue better health. Consider that , Resvinol-25™ used in RGarden’s Trans Resveratrol Supplement is a high potency product in which every 100 mg contains the same amount of resveratrol as thirty five glasses of red wine.

Nopalea and MAXGXL- Antioxidants When Diet Isn’t Enough

admin | July 28th, 2010 - 7:22 pm

Inflammation pain, arthritis , heart disease and conditions like fibromyalgia some forms of cancer and the signs of premature aging of skin and diabetes are just some of the ailments and diseases that are being laid at the door of chronic inflammation and various types of free radical damage. The solution is antioxidants.

It’s always been felt that when a person can eat a perfect diet, with lots of antioxidants and the “right ” foods, it will meet all your nutritional requirements in the ideal way and be lower cost than consuming natural health products like wellness drinks or glutathione precursors .

I don’t have the stats to prove this, but I am of the mind that this isn’t the case and what our lives have become means:

* The perfect healthy diet is more than we can accomplish (and what a shame that is)
* Hardly any of us can actually afford the supermarket price of enough organic and freshly grown antioxidant abundant fruits and vegetables to fully satisfy our requirements.
* Even if we could find the focus and the money to eat that perfect diet, the stress in our lives and unavoidable toxins and pollution all around us have moved so much from where we started – that our bodies need more help than diet will provide .

It’s time to admit it , the days of fighting everyday toxins based on eating a healthy diet, rich in natural antioxidants are gone !

We have a wealth of outstanding natural supplements made from glutathione precursors to betalains (a type of antioxidant) for fighting inflammation pain. Building them into a healthy lifestyle as well as the healthiest diet we can eat will help us support our internal antioxidant population .

For one thing , pesticides, herbicides , fungicides, chemical fertilizers , artificial hormones and food additives and the unbelievable quantity of everyday toxins we have injected into our lives were not factored into the Grand Design. Our bodies were not designed to deal with this. In addition to that, the emotional pressures and stress in our lives , our poor diets and lack of exercise. The problem can easily be building up , well past the ability of an antioxidant rich diet to cope with .

But there’s more . You’re not infallible ! You probably like the concept of eating a perfect diet, but most of us keep falling short . Even with our best intentions finding fresh fruits, vegetables and protein sources untreated with agricultural chemicals, planted in nutritionally depleted soils or fed with growth hormones, is getting harder to do. And with the pace of our lives, it’s pretty much unavoidable that a few fast food meals will slip in there and we’ll grab some pre-packaged meals from the grocery store.

Both are a double edged swords. First we cut ourselves by missing an opportunity to take in the good , fresh antioxidant rich foods we need to eat . Then we cut ourselves again by consuming more refined, processed and chemically altered pseudo-food , adding more toxins to our bodies that increase the task load that we need antioxidants to deal with .

And what about the cost of good food ?

Some people often ask why pay for antioxidant supplements when we can get those benefits more cheaply in our diet ? Get out your calculator and seriously check out the actual price to include enough of those superfoods in your meals – each and every day . Who knows where these “expose the scam” writers have been buying their food , but it sure isn’t any of the stores near me . Daily additions of enough blueberries, nuts, pineapples and the other antioxidant rich, fresh and organically grown foods can add big dollars to your monthly grocery bill .

So given our hurried lifestyles, the seriously under estimated expense for the right foods and the ubiquitous presence of everyday toxins we were never meant to live with , I believe that we need more antioxidants than in the past and more than we should reasonably expect diet alone will provide. Should you be choosing these excellent antioxidant abundant foods? For sure! We should do everything is possible to strengthen our diets to be as antioxidant rich as possible . But we should also include the wonderful advances that a concentrated source of inflammation fighting Betalains like Nopalea has to offer or the unique attributes of a glutathione precursor like MAXGXL .

The time has come to admit that we should take all the help we can get .

Let’s talk about MaxGXL® starting with -
What you don’t want to hear …Your glutathione levels are Dropping Fast, by about 10% to 15% every ten years! Declining glutathione levels lead to accelerated aging, sluggish energy, higher inflammation, and increased vulnerability to cell damage and disease

But we can also tel you What you Do Want to Hear … MaxGXL® can successfully raise your glutathione levels, with increases up to 292%. Graph showing the increase in Glutathion levels

If you think this is simply too good to be believed you can check out the double blind clinical trial for yourself.

Glutathione (GSH) is the body’s Master Antioxidant.

It is a small protein produced naturally in our cells when certain required elements are present. It functions both as an antioxidant and an antitoxin and is a major defense system against illness and aging. Our glutathione level actually indicates our state of health and can predict longevity. There are more than 60,000 published papers on the beneficial effects of glutathione. In the near future the importance of glutathione will be widely recognized because it has the ability to boost the immune system and fight off the damage of free radicals on the cells. Various daily activities can reduce your glutathione such as stress, exercise, infection, injury and environmental toxins. Your glutathione, or in other words, your body’s natural defense against aging and cellular damage decreases by about 10% to 15% every decade!*

Modern research has shown that individuals who have low levels of glutathione are susceptible to chronic illness. Decreased levels of glutathione can be brought about by continual stress upon the immune system. As we now know, a lowered immune system can bring about illness and disease. This is a ferocious cycle. While you need glutathione for a productive immune system, a weakened immune system hampers the production of glutathione.*

Increasing age and other factors reduce the body’s production and utilization of glutathione

Beginning around the age of 20 your body’s natural production of this powerful little protein declines about 10 to 15 percent every decade. It is well understood in the medical and scientific community that intracellular glutathione levels cannot effectively be raised by oral glutathione supplementation because it is believed to be destroyed in the digestive system; which is why MaxGXL® is such a groundbreaking discovery.*

What Smokers Should Know About Glutathione and Lung Health
cigarette
Your lungs are crucial to your survival. You can’t go much more than four minutes without air. Only your heart would rank higher when you think of the most vital organs of the body. But that’s really kind of a toss-up as your heart has to have the oxygen supplied by the lungs to keep beating. Heart and lungs: a true team that works together and is vitally dependent upon one another!

We think it’s time to focus a little attention and care on our hardworking and faithful lungs. And we hope this doesn’t come as a surprise: glutathione (GSH) is arguably the most vital, valiant protector of the lungs.

Just think about it. Each breath you take exposes your lungs to pollution, allergens, smog, dust, first- or second-hand cigarette smoke—a lungful of dangerous airborne particles. If any area of the body is under a full-scale attack by free radicals and toxins, it is certainly the lungs.

We probably don’t realize the one-two punch our lungs take from this exposure to toxins and free radicals. Not only is there oxidant damage from free radical attacks, but the body’s response to cellular injury is inflammation. That’s all well and good but the inflammatory process, once triggered, often rages out of control. (It has nothing to do with the lungs, but think about rheumatoid arthritis which is an immune response gone wild) When that happens, a number of lung ailments and disorders arise.

Thankfully, the epithelial cells that line the lower respiratory tract have a protective screen of glutathione to protect against oxidant damage by free radicals. Irfan Rahman and William MacNee, researchers from the University of Edinburgh in the UK, stated that glutathione (GSH) “is emerging as one of the fundamental antioxidant defense mechanisms in oxidant-induced lung injury and inflammation.”

If you are a smoker or are routinely exposed to second-hand smoke, glutathione is even more vital. A highly damaging effect of cigarette smoke is that it depletes total glutathione in the airways. Components in smoke cause glutathione to oxidize but not to the normal oxidized form (called GSSG), which the body can recycle back to GSH. Instead, cigarette smoke creates “nonreducible glutathione-aldehyde forms,”
depleting the total available glutathione pool.

A study in the March 15, 2008 issue of the British Medical Journal told how showing smokers that smoking damages the lungs as if they were aging more rapidly than normal, doubled the rate of those who stopped smoking.

Smoker’s “old” lungs are one more example of how free radicals truly cause the body to age faster than normal. You may not be able to control all the pollutants in the air you breathe. But you can protect and preserve your lungs with the mighty antioxidant glutathione!

George Richer
Over the years I have tried many natural products. Nothing has ever worked so well (and continues to do so!) as MaxGXL®. After only three days on MaxGXL, I could not believe how much better my left hand was. Another pleasant surprise is my balance, which has been terrible since a back operation in 1972. My balance now has greatly improved. The best improvement, I believe, is my energy level. I sleep so much better and wake up ready to GO! I am 70 years young and have the same or more zip than when I was 39! Thank you MaxGXL!

Steve Holleran Hamilton, ON
Steve Hollaran - MAXGXL UserLike so many people who first hear of MaxGXL, I had my doubts about what it could do for me and how it would improve my life. I was approached by a good friend of mine named Gary. He told me he wanted to show me this new product that would improve my overall health and improve my physical performance. I was intrigued because I was thinking about competing in the World Police and Fire Games for Karate in British Columbia in 2009. I am a firefighter for the city of Mississauga, Ontario and for the past while I wanted to get back into competing. I hold a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. I used to compete all the time but for the past ten years my focus went to other things. I never stopped running, stretching and lifting weights but as far as martial arts and competition, I was out of fighting shape. I knew that if I was going to do this, I needed all the help I could get. Gary explained the inner workings of Glutathione and MaxGXL. To say the least, I was interested. My third day on MaxGXL I had one of my best Karate classes to date. My cardio was limitless that night. The hour long class was actually not long enough! I could have gone for a second hour. It was then that I knew I had to keep taking this stuff. On April 12th, 2008 I came out of retirement having competed in my first local Karate tournament. I placed first in my division and second for Grand Champion. I owe a large part of this to MaxGXL. I look forward to future competitions, not only because I know my body is functioning as it should but also because I want to share my story and more importantly MaxGXL!

Brian Kline, Houston, TX
Brian Kline says "I owe a lot to MAX InternationalI have been a powerlifter for 35 years; in 1993 I suffered two heart attacks and quadruple by-pass surgery. To say the least, it has been a rocky comeback. About a year ago I had an acquaintance convince me to try MaxGXL. The first week of taking MaxGXL I started to feel the difference in my body. I had more endurance in my training, my recovery time decreased. I qualified for two world championships in November, one in Las Vegas, and the other in Palm Beach, Florida. I won the national championships for my age and weight and broke the existing American record in the bench press for 55-59 year olds at 198 pounds body weight with 396 pounds barely missing the world record of 442. I owe a lot to Max International!

Linette Milligan Mira Loma, CA
Linette MilliganTo top it off, I NEVER get sore any more after my workouts. Even on the days I work out extra hard I think to myself, “man, I am going to be hurting so bad tomorrow.” But much to my surprise… NOTHING! I love MaxGXL! Not only for what it has done to my body, but for what I know it is doing to protect my body in the future! And I got an added benefit: I sleep so great now. I wake up feeling so crisp and energetic. Thanks, Dr. Keller!!!

Fernando Torres Corana, CA
Fernando Torres had more energy with MAX GXLI was introduced to MaxGXL by family. They explained all the benefits of the product, but I still wasn’t truly convinced. I started on the product in January 2008, almost one year after serious health problems. Within 2 weeks of starting MaxGXL, I noticed my energy level had risen. I had more energy to get myself to the gym, I started lifting heavier weights, started to run on the treadmill, which I had not done for a few years. I started to do the things that I really wanted to do. Im now exercising five times a week since I have more energy to do it. I am eating better, and not craving all the junk I used to eat because I dont feel stress like I did before. I am not waking up during the night. I am able to sleep better and therefore feel refreshed every morning now when I wake up. I have dropped weight since I have the energy to burn more calories. I really feel like a new man! Thank you, Dr. Robert Keller for formulating this amazing supplement! You are a genius! MaxGXL is truly life changing!

Meet the Medical Board

Dr. Corinne Allen is an international researcher and practitioner in natural health and nutrition and has been in practice for more than 30 years. After receiving her doctorate in nutrition, Dr. Allen went on to more training in neurokinesiology and brain-stimulation techniques. She is recognized for her natural and practical approach to health regarding natural and alternative methods of stimulating permanent changes in the brain in dyslexia, ADD, autism, Aspergers syndrome, learning disabilities, academic and behavioral issues and brain injuries. “As soon as I heard about MaxGXL, I knew it was important,” she says. “It has been the most significant product that I have ever used for the nutritional support of the brain and nervous system. I have never seen such fast, amazing and life-changing results from a single nutritional supplement. I work with all levels of brain injuries, mild to severe, and I find that from babies on up, if they have brain, emotional or developmental issues, they are severely lacking in glutathione.” of her own experience with MaxGXL®, Dr. Allen said, “My energy level has doubled. I find that I have more sustained energy for 12 to 15 hours a day. My organization and management of my work has become better. My stress levels have greatly dropped. My stamina and endurance have increased.” Dr. Allen feels that we live in a world full of heavy chemicalization with disregard for proper nutrition. You can greatly reduce problems with glutathione supplementation. That is not to say artificial glutathione injection, but with a way to introduce into the body the components the body needs to produce glutathione on its own. That way is MaxGXL®!

Dr. Daria Davidson has been in healthcare for over 30 years. She began her healthcare career as a registered nurse, specializing in pediatric intensive care. She is double board certified in Emergency Medicine and Holistic Medicine. During her 20 years as an emergency medicine physician, she spent 11 years working in, and running, a Level One Trauma Center. By the time she retired from emergency medicine in 2003 she had personally treated over 70,000 patients. In addition to her busy lecture and consulting schedule, Dr. Davidson maintains a private practice in Bellevue, Washington. In 1992, at the age of 41, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She coauthored the book Breast Cancer – Let me check my schedule! and has spoken to audiences in countries throughout the world on various aspects of cancer. In 1995, Dr. Davidson began looking into the scientific basis of nutritional supplementation.

Dr. Charles Mabray is a graduate of Baylor College of Medicine and a Diplomat and Fellow at the American College of OB/GYN. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Environmental Medicine and is certified with the American Board of Bariatric Medicine. He has several publications in peer-reviewed journals and authored a book on nutrition and health, The Genesis Strategy. Dr. Mabray considers himself to be a student of medicine who isnt content to merely diagnose but is always asking how and why. Dr. Mabray said he constantly strives to establish better, less invasive, treatment methods that treat patients using few medications, while trying to raise patient awareness regarding personal responsibility. He is a long-time advocate of nutritional supplements. After his introduction he began to offer MaxGXL® on a small scale to patients, family and friends. “It rapidly became obvious that MaxGXL® had something special, yielding quality of life improvement in multiple areas. I am now a full-fledged fan.”

Dr. John Kindle is a family doctor from Ottawa, Canada who has been practicing for 35 years and has been the chief of the Childhood Care Division at his hospital since 1990. Dr. Kindle has worked with a lot of cancer patients. Understanding the science behind it was powerful, but Dr. Kindle really became sold on MaxGXL® when he saw what it could do for his patients. “Its so rewarding when people come in and say, I want more – Im afraid Ill run out.” And theyll say, I gave some to my mom and shes got energy and swears by this stuff now! Shes telling all her friends and neighbors about it. Thats the kind of thing that gives me the belief.”

Dr. Tim Kershenstein specializes in tropical and integrative medicine. He has studied Eastern Medicine which focuses on the cause, not the symptoms, of a disease. “In my opinion the West is too quick to revert to pharmaceutical drugs for treatment, when the use of a natural remedy would be more appropriate and with few side effects.” Dr. Kershenstein feels MaxGXL® is such a remedy, which is why he has adopted it as a natural means to treating common ailments. He said 80 percent of people hes presented MaxGXL® to have responded quickly with definite results. His family and friends have improved their quality of life with daily use of MaxGXL®. With certain health problems, where some prescription medication has failed, MaxGXL® has become a solution. He said that he has given MaxGXL® to many of his colleagues and the results have been miraculous. Referring to his background in a natural Eastern approach to healthcare, Dr. Kershenstein said that in China doctors get paid when people are well, not sick. Interesting! Modern science is starting to verify that age-old remedies, herbal blends, really work. Then along comes an amazing natural product like MaxGXL®. Unfortunately, Dr. Kershenstein said, “It will take time for Western physicians to embrace this great product. I firmly believe that MaxGXL® will change the medical communitys thinking – that it is a positive approach using of MaxGXL® in their practice.”
